This should work on any P35 ICH9 based board:. Run the installer jmicron hot-plug the -a switch to extract the files. This will NOT jmicron hot-plug the software, just extract the files. Follow the prompts as if you were installing the software:. When Windows loads it will detect a new hard disk - cancel the wizard for installing the new hardware and run the Intel driver installer you downloaded in step 1. This is one area Vista has moved forward - it will allow you to install drivers from devices other than A: such as a USB pendrive or CD.

Windows 7 - eSATA hotswap using Jmicron JMB controller - Super User
jmicron hot-plug I just tried that program mentioned here Hotswap. I do now have a safe remove icon and I can remove the external hard drive with it. Jmicron hot-plug still won't detect it automatically though when it's turned on.

Oh, someone had a program for that Does your card flash a card bios prompt at boot that tells you to hit a certain key combination to configure it? The question is why does it go away if I do scsiadd -r?Proper hotplug support also includes a proper SATA power jmicron hot-plug.
According to this Tomshardware post, the JMicron JMB chipset. I have a question about using the eSATA hot plug feature on ICH9R. It uses the Intel ICH9R (6 X SATA) chipset and Jmicron jmicron hot-plug X eSATA).
